Embracing the Adventure of Inconveniences

Ah, more wisdom from our friend G.K. Chesterton.

I’ve been working on some lettering and graphic skills while simultaneously using quotes as inspiration as of late.

Don’t Mess with Momma’s Plans

This particular quote has long been an inspiration and a challenge to me.

Why?

Because, my friends, you can ask anyone at all, especially my kids, and they will tell you this simple truth: The surest way to see mom lose her ever-loving head is to throw some unplanned inconvenience across her path when she has a clear cut plan she’s forging ahead with.

Truly, y’all. Messing with my plans and goals makes me kinda postal.

Chesterton Blows My Mind

So when Mr. Chesterton, the turn of the 20th Century author, offers an alternate view of inconveniences, I’m both convicted and challenged to be a betterĀ person.

Chesterton says,

“An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered.”

Mind. Blown.

An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered. #Chesterton #quotes Click To Tweet
